Searching for the right words to keep a conversation on track? Whether with someone at the office, your spouse, teenager daughter, a neighbor across the hedge, or an elderly parent, learn grounded ways to power through difficult conversations at this retreat, “Healing Divisions: Ignatian Dialogue Skills for Polarized Times.” Your retreat director will introduce four, research-informed pillars of dialogue and share case studies that illustrate how those pillars can transform common conflict into deep connection. Techniques will draw from the fields of chaplaincy, spiritual direction, and Ignatian spirituality to help you recognize with reverence the wisdom of one other’s unique life experiences.
The retreat will include periods of silence, connection, and humor with time for practical application and small group reflection that applies the dialogical techniques.
This is a semi-silent retreat. Guests are expected to maintain a sacred silence throughout the retreat, including at meals, unless otherwise noted. There will be periods of discussion and dialogue as and when shared by the retreat director.
