This day is designed to offer caregivers a few hours away with nothing to do but enjoy the silence, a beautiful meal, a lovely walk on our trails; and time to pray, reflect, journal, and share with others who are on this challenging journey.

All caregivers need a moment to be acknowledged for all they do, and to be assured that God‘s grace is with them along the way.

Marian Monahan is a spiritual director and retreat leader. She has a BA in Religious Studies, a graduate level certificate in Pastoral Ministry from Loyola University, New Orleans (LIMEX) and a certificate in Spiritual Direction. She has also gone through life coach training. Marian maintains a vibrant ministry of spiritual direction, enjoys facilitating life giving and stimulating conversations with other adults in small groups and is grateful for her role in the Ignatius House Spiritual Direction formation program.

She is care partner to her husband Bill, a retired Deacon, and cherishes time with their children and grandchildren. Marian also enjoys visiting and sharing with her wonderful friends, movies, plays, reading and walking their golden doodle Beau.
