What is mysticism?
Do all religions have the same “mystic heart”? What difference does mysticism make in the lives of ordinary people? These are just a few of the topics we’ll explore at this Interfaith Afternoon Conversation, featuring Gareth Young and Carl McColman. Gareth and Carl have been part of the Atlanta Interfaith Community for many years, and they approach spirituality with a love for storytelling, humor, and a rich appreciation for both interfaith diversity and our common ground as a human family.
Gareth Young is the guiding teacher of Red Clay Sangha, a Buddhist community based in Atlanta.
Carl McColman is a spiritual director (affiliated with Ignatius House), retreat leader and author. His most recent book is The New Big Book of Christian Mysticism.
Afternoon refreshments will be available, along with friendship and conversation across the tables. There will be an opportunity for Q&A and dialogue throughout the program.
