This day long ONLINE Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) retreat of silent, extended practice is designed especially for those who have had some prior experience with mindfulness practice. It is an opportunity to deepen your mindfulness practice. The day is modeled on the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) principles developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli at the Center for Mindfulness in the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
NOTE:
–A prerequisite for attending this Day of Mindfulness is that you have completed an 8-week MBSR course or an Intensive MBSR Weekend Retreat.
–Students currently enrolled in the MBSR 8-week course must register by calling the office at 404 255 0503 (payment for this day of reflection is already included in the course cost).
– All participants will have the option to participate or to refrain from certain exercises according to their own comfort and safety levels.
Mark Dannenfelser is Founding Director of the Mindfulness Center of Atlanta. He is a Certified MBSR Teacher (Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-GA), a Certified Spiritual Director (Spring Hill College), and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200). Mark is Adjunct Lecturer in the Graduate Theology program at Spring Hill College and is the Contemplative Outreach commissioned presenter of the Centering Prayer method for the Aquinas Center of Theology at Emory University.
