Yoga Day of Reflection: Discernment in Motion – Exploring Attachment
December 15 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm$125
Directed by Kimberly Nettuno, MTS, RYT
The crown of our head ever reaches upward toward our Blessed Lord. Yet, we often become disconnected from this reality. Seeking the unity we long for, we become attached to worldly things, falsely being filled by their wavering presence. Let’s join together in our last segment of seven to reach upward. Seeking the spiritual gift of unity, we remember Who created us and where we long to belong.
Check-in starts at 8:30 am, with a light breakfast on arrival. We will begin on our mats in the Chapel promptly at 9 am. A silent, nourishing lunch will be provided in the dining room mid-day and the program will conclude with Mass at 2:30 pm. Everyone will bring their own yoga mat (as a towel is not a safe surface upon which to practice yoga).
Beginners and experienced participants are welcome!
This is a silent retreat. Guests are expected to maintain a sacred silence throughout the retreat, including at meals, unless otherwise noted. There will be periods of discussion and dialogue as and when shared by the retreat director.
Kimberly (Kimi) Nettuno, MTS, RYT, along with her oldest daughter, Hannah, owns Trinity Movement where, with over 800 hours of yoga training combined with a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Spring Hill College and her continued studies there to earn a Master of Theological Studies, she brings the beauty of Eastern and Western spirituality together in the practice of Christian Yoga.
Kimi believes that we are all unique, created children of God. She instructs others to connect with this truth by becoming aware of the breath – the living, moving Spirit within. In this simple act of breathing, we recognize God is always with us and begin to find God in all things.
