Ignatius House Columbaria
Ignatius House is pleased to offer a place of eternal rest for those who wish to remain under the loving care of the Society of Jesus. The Ignatius House Columbaria, a place for cremated remains, will be where we contemplate a life’s journey, the shared love between us and God, and the glorious promise of Jesus’ resurrection.
The Ignatius House Columbaria will be next to the small chapel adjacent to the Retreat House building – nestled into the hillside. The space will include a private and secluded memorial garden. Four sections, each approximately 8 feet in height, offer a total of 160 niches. Each niche is capable of preserving two urns.
This project was originally conceived to hold 360 niches next to the St. Ignatius Chapel and parking lot. The location has been moved following further examination of the site, its impact to the natural forest, and the need for a quiet, reflective place on property for loved ones as they visit.
Groundbreaking is expected to occur during the second half of 2019. Construction is expected to be complete approximately two months later. At this time, we anticipate that inurnment of ashes may begin in Winter 2019-20.
To purchase a niche for yourself or a loved one, review the documents below. The price of a niche is $5,000 and provides a 1’x1’ niche, two urns, and memorial plaques. To reserve a niche, please download and review the “Ignatius House Columbarium Agreement” which also contains the Agreement Addendum – Certificate of Remains. Both must be completed and signed. A deposit of $2,500 is due at the time of reservation, with balance due upon completion of construction.
