Columbaria Visitation

Visiting the Deceased

Ignatius House is honored to serve as the final resting place for your loved one. We recognize that there are, and will continue to be, many days and special anniversaries when you wish to visit your Deceased.

Ignatius House is open weekdays during traditional business hours and on weekends for retreats. Use the gate code card provided to your family to enter the property outside of these times.

Because we are an active retreat center, kindly observe an atmosphere of silence while on property. The St. Ignatius Chapel may not be available if in use by a group, however the Memorial Chapel inside the retreat house will be available during operating hours. To compliment your visit, download a selection of prayers or a trail map.

We respectfully request no pets, no fires, and no picnics. Thank you for understanding.

Where
The Ignatius House Columbaria are nestled into the northern hillside next to the Retreat House building and the Suzanne Spalding Schroder Memorial Chapel. Smooth pathways from both the garden and Retreat House are ADA-accessible.
From the parking lot: walk toward the main Chapel, turn right and follow the path through the garden to the opposite side of the Retreat House. There, you’ll find the Columbaria courtyard to be a private and prayerful area, surrounded by natural and landscaped vegetation.
From the Retreat House: The Columbaria also can be accessed via the main entrance of the Retreat House during normal business hours. Simply walk the main hallway to the back exit.
